The State Health Authority, which is running the Ayushman scheme in the state, has so far canceled the wrong bills amounting to 60 crores for the treatment sent by the hospitals. Action has been taken to cancel the enlistment against 37 hospitals which have committed fraud in the scheme.
In a press conference at the IT Park office on Tuesday, State Health Authority Chairman DK Kotia and CEO and Additional Secretary Arunendra Singh Chauhan said that there is no scope for any irregularities in the operation of Ayushman Yojana. The scheme provides treatment for 25 major diseases through 1600 packages. A total of 232 hospitals in the state are listed under the scheme. Under the scheme, about 21 thousand beneficiaries of the state were given free treatment in the states of Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Goa, Dadar Nagar Haveli, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Punjab. In which about 43 crores have been spent.
