Nepal News: Police raids Chinese citizen’s call center, 36 people arrested

Nepal News: Police officials said that 33 Nepalese and one Chinese national are among those arrested. These people were employees of Sky World Service Center located in Tincoon area here.

Nepal News: Police raided a call center run by a Chinese national in Kathmandu, Nepal. The police have arrested 36 people on charges of forgery during the raid. Two Indians, including a woman, were also among those arrested by the police. Police have seized Rs 8,29,000 in cash, 362 laptops and 748 desktop computers during the raids. Police officials said 33 Nepalese and a Chinese national were among those arrested. These people were employees of Sky World Service Center located in Tincoon area here. He told that the 43-year-old Chinese national is the management head of the company.

 

The Kathmandu Metropolitan Police said the men were arrested for fraud and stealing private information. According to police, the two Indians include a 26-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman. Both are residents of Uttar Pradesh. Police said that among the 33 Nepalese nationals arrested, five women were also included. Police have seized Rs 8,29,000 in cash, 362 laptops and 748 desktop computers during the raids.

Recently a fake call center was exposed in Gurugram

Fake call center was being operated by some people in Gurugram. According to the police, nine people, including five women, were arrested for operating the fake call centre. The police had recovered Rs 13.40 lakh from the owners of the call centre. According to the police, the cybercrime police team had received a tip-off that a fake call center was being operated from a rented house located in DLF Phase-2, Gurugram.
