More than 50 meters of the bridge built on Kaliasot on Bhopal-Jabalpur highway collapsed

A bridge has been built on the Kaliasot river near Mandideep Industries area on Bhopal-Jabalpur highway. The gates of Kaliasot dam have been opened since two days, huge amount of water is being released from it. As a result a part of the bridge collapsed. The administration has closed the road from one side due to the collapse of the bridge between Mandideep to Misrod. This road was built by CDS company a year ago. This has raised questions on the construction of a highway worth Rs 559 crore. Congress has made serious allegations against the BJP government of the state. Ajay Singh Yadav, vice-president of Madhya Pradesh Congress Media Department, said that the collapse of a bridge over Kaliasot river on NH-12 in Mandideep opens the door to BJP’s corruption system. The bridge was built out of corruption. There has been no loss of life, but the corruption of the government has been exposed.

Divisional Manager of MPRDC MH Rizvi says that on Sunday afternoon itself, the one-way road was closed after a crack was noticed on the road. The retaining wall has fallen at 11.30 pm. This service road was built on the bridge two years ago. It is under a five year warranty. There is no damage to the bridge. It will be completely filled after the rain.

Road construction agency CDS and MPRDC officials are being accused of serious negligence in the construction of the bridge. It is coming to the fore that the road was raised by putting twenty meters of black soil. Not only this, the company was given the contract from Misrod to Vineka. It is also coming to the fore that in order to save crores of rupees, four big bridges were repaired and made new by the company. Many such flaws are now coming to the fore.
