The horror-comedy had a decent opening on Day 1. and collected Rs 8.25 crore. While Rs 5.58 crore was collected by the Tamil version, the Hindi and Telugu versions earned Rs 2.5 core and Rs 0.17 crore respectively. On Day 2, Chandramukhi 2 saw a dip and earned Rs 4.50 crore. However, the film managed to cross the Rs 10 crore mark on its first Friday. The total collection of the film stands at Rs 12.75 crore, according to the early estimates by Sacnilk.com After Thalaivii, Kangana Ranaut is back on the big screen with her second Tamil film Chandramukhi 2. Helmed by P Vasu, the film also stars Raghav Lawrence in the lead role and hit the theatres on September 28, along with Hindi films Fukrey 3 and The Vaccine War. Chandramukhi 2

The Tamil belt saw an overall occupancy rate of 35.54 per cent on Friday and the highest occupancy was registered during the night showsMade on a budget of Rs 60 crore, Chandramukhi 2 is the sequel to the 2005 Chandramukhi which starred Rajinikanth. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film follows the story of a wealthy family that faces spiritual challenges as they reawaken the feud between the dancer Chandramukhi and Vettaiyan Raja, which dated centuries ago. Besides Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence, the film also stars Lakshmi Menon, Vadivelu, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Mahima Nambiar, Srushti Dange, Subiksha Krishnan, and othersChandramukhi 2 marks Ranaut’s second Tamil film after Thalaivii in 2021. Kangana Ranaut’s Tamil film Chandramukhi 2 is enjoying a decent run at the Box Office. The Raghava Lawrence starrer has entered the long weekend and it is expected to gain some major business before it enters the first week at the ticket window. After opening on a good total of Rs 8.2 crore nett, the film saw a drop on its second day. In fact, it seems like the numbers on day 2 have been slashed to half of what it collected on its opening day. As per a report published in the trade website sacnilk, Chandramukhi 2 has collected a nett figure of Rs 4.50 crore on day 2 which is half of what it collected on day 1. The two-day total of the film now stands at Rs 12.75 crore – not a bad number but the collection on the second day shouldn’t have dropped so drastically

Chandramukhi 2 is the only prominent Tamil film to have released this week which will eventually help it at the Box Office during the long weekend. The film is enjoying a successful legacy of horror comedy and Kangana‘s performance has received a thumbs up from the audience – two factors that can work in favour of the film from hereOn the opening day, the maximum numbers were contributed from its Tamil version. Out of Rs 8.25 crore on day 1, Rs 5.58 crore came from the Tamil Box Office while Telugu contributed Rs 2.5 crore and Hindi remained negligible at Rs 0.75 crore. The collections on the second day have dropped majorly from the Tamil markets which is a cause of worry. Hindi is not expected to gain much considering Jawan fever is still on and the weekend is stuffed with two Hindi releases – Fukrey 3 and The Vaccine War. If the collections don’t improve on Saturday for Chandramukhi 2, the weekend won’t be able to do any magic for the film and it will go on to become a complete dud at the Box Office

This Thursday witnessed the release of three noteworthy films and one of them was Chandramukhi 2. Originally, it’s a Tamil film but since it also stars Kangana Ranaut in a key role apart from Raghava Lawrence, eyes are set on its performance at the box office in the Hindi belt. It took a decent start yesterday but today, the collection has gone down. Here’s how it has fared so far on day 2Directed by P. Vasu, the film is a sequel to the 2005 Kollywood blockbuster Chandramukhi. It had a strong star cast featuring Rajinikanth, Jyothika, Prabhu and others. It was a huge commercial success and became a cult over the years, with its telecast on TV gaining immense popularity. With such a legacy in the kitty, expectations were really high, but it seems nothing is going in favourChandramukhi 2 sees Raghava Lawrence carrying the film on shoulders instead of Rajinikanth. Yesterday, it opened to decent numbers with 8.50 crores net coming in.

However with negative reviews and not-so-good word-of-mouth floating around, the film dropped today by 24-28% as early trends suggest collection in the range of 6.10-6.40 crores net on day 2. The total Indian collection is heading in the range of 14.60-14.90 crores net Considering the fact that Chandramukhi 2 is a Thursday release, the drop on regular Friday is understandable but if we see the overall collection, it’s underwhelming, especially being a sequel to such a popular horror-comedyThe film is currently running in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions. The major chunk is of course driven by the Tamil version with the Telugu version providing some support. However, in the Hindi dubbed version, it’s a complete washout and will be out of theatres in no time
